Godzilla will now be rebooted in 3D. The reboot will be scheduled for 2014 of May. Gareth Edwards will be directing the film , he is known for the Expendables and the Dark Night Trilogy. Legendary and Warner Bros have said that they will return it to its epic roots with a gritty , realistic actioner . Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni as well as Roy Lee will produce the film . This article caught my eye cause I love Godzilla and I thought oh no not a Godzilla remake .
To me as a student this impacts me because soon I will have to learn to not use the brain I have to make new ideas because the future will be filled of remakes . As a future filmmaker this really saddens me because the industry is just becoming remake after remake and soon it will be expected of Filmmakers . As a consumer i despise this , I absolutely hate 3D and I don't like how there remaking Godzilla . I have to question the industry , why the remakes and why the god awful 3D improve it before you use it .
Thats just a shame, I personally love Godzilla but 3D? Really?
ReplyDeleteI am a fanboy of everything Godzilla. I own 8 of the movies and watched the rest of them. How could they do this to Godzilla? What possesses them to ad the evil that is 3D to a Godzilla movie? I swear to god if they screw this movie up I'm going to be pissed. You can't disgrace a largely cult followed movie series with special effects and 3D. That's like remaking "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and putting it in 3D. This is something you just don't do. When you make a Godzilla movie, it must be cheesy, low budget, and have guys run around in the monster suits. If they even think about animating Godzilla like they did in the american movie, I won't even bother seeing it.
ReplyDeleteSeems like their bringing every movie now to 3D, I personally hate 3D it hurts my eyes so I never bother watching a 3d movie. I don't it's such a great idea.
