Clint Eastwood has recently filmed a new commercial for presidential candidate Mitt Romney . It was said to have been filmed in his house , it was released to be aimed at battle ground states for Mitt Romney , it features Clint Eastwood's narration as well as him appearing on screen . This is important because more and more people will fall just for Clint Eastwood .
The impact of this article as a student is big because Romney wants to cut the school budget and this would make my education worse . As a future film maker this is also bad because I could be stuck to presidential elections which I just wouldn't want to do with my career . As a consumer this is not as bad but it just more crap that's on tv . It really makes you think , when will more unnecessary commercials like this stop , will it continue or will people finally see that the commercials are so biased .
I get it when celebrities want to use their status to promote what they think is right.. like being against bullying... but I feel like politics is pushing it a bit too far because its practically all based on opinions.
ReplyDeleteThe commercials are not unnecessary-ish, I feel like they are excessive. As a filmmaker I also would not want to tie in politics into my work. Seems like a lot of things can go wrong.
I think Clint Eastwood feels that he is doing the right thing. Just because we don't agree with his views doesn't mean we have to attack them. We just have to understand that both sides of the spectrum are telling us various lies and make an educated guess for ourselves, regardless of who endorses who.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Patricia because politics are very risky. Everyone has different opinions about the two candidates and so that can create a problem, especially since everyone knows everyone in the entertainment business. I would never like to state my opinion about politics in any of my works because I feel like that is too personal and I would not want to mix the two elements together unless it is for a good cause such as bullying (like Patricia mentioned)or gay rights or anything else of that sort.
ReplyDeleteWell, raise your hand if anyone besides me has lost all their respect for Clint Eastwood.
